Privacy Policy – MamuVPN APP
Effective date: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Mamu VPN (the "App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built the App around a simple principle: your browsing activity and VPN traffic are yours, not ours.
1. What we do not collect
We do not monitor, log, store, or sell the content of your browsing activity, the websites you visit, or your VPN connection traffic. We have no visibility into what you do once a VPN connection is active. See Section 5 for the limited connection metadata we do keep, and why.
2. Using the app without an account
You can use Mamu VPN, including Premium, without creating an account. When you first open the App we create an anonymous guest profile linked to a device identifier. It contains no name or email address.
3. Information you provide
If you choose to create an account (required for Live Chat Support and the built-in browser), we collect your email address and, if you set one, a display name. Your guest profile, including any Premium subscription, is upgraded into that account. If Google Sign-In is offered and you use it, we receive only the basic profile fields Google shares for authentication (name, email, profile photo) and never your Google password.
4. Information collected automatically
To operate the App we process: a device identifier used to keep your guest profile and enforce device limits; basic technical logs our servers need to keep the service running and fix problems; and, only for the moment a VPN session is established, the technical connection metadata needed to route that session (not the sites you subsequently visit through it).
5. Abuse prevention and traceability
Each VPN server issues a short-lived, per-connection credential rather than a shared one. We keep a minimal record of which profile used which server and when — never which websites you visited, or any traffic content — for a limited period. This record exists solely to investigate abuse reports (such as spam, network attacks, malware distribution, or copyright infringement notices) referred to us by a hosting provider, rights holder, or law enforcement, and to act against the specific profile responsible instead of restricting a server for every user. It is never used to monitor ordinary browsing, and is not shared except as required to respond to such a report or a valid legal request.
6. How we use information
We use this information to provide and secure the App, enforce device and session limits, provide customer support through Live Chat, send service-related emails (such as password resets), verify and restore subscription purchases, improve app stability, and respond to abuse reports as described in Section 5.
7. Advertising
Free users are shown ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads under Google's own privacy policy. Premium subscribers do not see ads. You can review or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
8. Subscriptions and payments
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment card details; Google is the merchant of record. To activate and restore Premium, the App sends the purchase token Google Play provides to our servers, which confirm it with Google. This is also how subscriptions bought in earlier versions of the App are recognised.
9. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the App: Google (AdMob, Play Billing and, if offered, Sign-In), Cloudflare (hosting for our servers and database) and Resend (delivery of account emails such as password resets). Each operates under its own privacy policy for the data it processes on our behalf. The current App does not use Firebase, Facebook or OneSignal.
10. Data retention
Earlier versions of the App had no accounts and stored no personal data on our servers. Guest profile and account data are kept for as long as they are in use. Session metadata described in Section 5 is kept only briefly and is not retained indefinitely. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove it within a reasonable period, except where retaining limited records is required by law, to prevent fraud, or to resolve an open abuse investigation.
11. Your choices
You can use the App without an account, update your profile information within the App, cancel a subscription at any time through Google Play, and request deletion of your account and associated data through Live Chat Support or by email to info@nreeit.com.
12. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and secure password storage, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
15. Contact us
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be sent through the App's Live Chat Support or Help Center, or by email to info@nreeit.com.
