Privacy Policy – Pingol VPN Browser
Effective date: September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pingol VPN Browser (the "App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built the App around a simple principle: your browsing activity and VPN traffic are yours, not ours.
1. What we do not collect
We do not monitor, log, store, or sell the content of your browsing activity, the websites you visit, or your VPN connection traffic. We have no visibility into what you do once a VPN connection is active. See Section 4 for the limited account-level metadata we do keep, and why.
2. Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you set one, a display name and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive only the basic profile fields Google shares for authentication (name, email, profile photo) and never your Google password.
3. Information collected automatically
To operate the App we process: a device identifier used to enforce your account's device limit; basic app diagnostics and crash reports so we can fix bugs; and, only for the moment a VPN session is established, the technical connection metadata needed to route that session (not the sites you subsequently visit through it).
4. Abuse prevention and account traceability
Each VPN server issues a short-lived, per-connection credential unique to your account rather than a shared one. We keep a minimal record of which account used which server and when — never which websites you visited, or any traffic content — for a limited period. This record exists solely to investigate abuse reports (such as spam, network attacks, malware distribution, or copyright infringement notices) referred to us by a hosting provider, rights holder, or law enforcement, and to take action against the specific account responsible instead of restricting a server for every user. It is never used to monitor ordinary browsing, and is not shared except as required to respond to such a report or a valid legal request.
5. How we use information
We use this information to create and secure your account, enforce device and session limits, provide customer support through Live Chat, send service-related push notifications, process subscription purchases, improve app stability, and respond to abuse reports as described in Section 4.
6. Advertising
Free tier users are shown ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads under Google's own privacy policy. Premium subscribers do not see ads. You can review or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
7. Subscriptions and payments
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment card details; Google is the merchant of record for all Premium purchases.
8. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the App: Google (Sign-In, AdMob, Play Billing, Firebase for push notifications and crash diagnostics) and Pusher (real-time Live Chat messaging). Each operates under its own privacy policy for the data it processes on our behalf.
9. Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Session metadata described in Section 4 is kept only briefly and is not retained indefinitely. If you delete your account, we remove your personal account data within a reasonable period, except where retaining limited records is required by law, to prevent fraud, or to resolve an open abuse investigation.
10. Your choices
You can update your profile information from within the App, sign out of individual devices from the login screen, cancel a subscription at any time through Google Play, and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.
11. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
12. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and secure password storage, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
14. Contact us
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be sent through the App's Live Chat Support or Help Center.
